Steve Conover has won six World National Wild Turkey Still-Target Championships, breaking world records five times. A master turkey caller - with the trophy toms to prove it - and an accomplished bow hunter and rifle shooter, Steve guides others on a nonprofessional basis. Steve is a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and is affiliated professionally with several nationally known companies in the hunting and shooting industry. Steve travels all around the country in his spare time competing in shooting events, living his love for the outdoors, and sharing his knowledge and expertise with others hunters and shooters.

Steve Conover's love for the outdoors began as a young child in Kentucky when he would accompany his father on hunting and fishing trips on a regular basis. Before he was able to tag along on foot, his father would carry him as they roamed the hills, woods, and streams of the Bluegrass State. Steve's prowess as a hunter, game caller, and shooter began to materialize at an early age, and he became well known for his outdoor savvy by those who knew him as he grew up. Perhaps his most notable quality was his innate ability with a shotgun. Even as a child he would amaze many people at trap shooting matches and while hunting fast-moving small game.

In the year 2001, Steve became interested in the National Wild Turkey Still-Target competitions. Since that time, his success has been phenomenal. He has won six World Championships, placed second numerous times, broken world records five times, and has a vast number of first and second place finishes at a large number of sanctioned shooting events all around the country. His knack for professionally tuning and shooting a turkey-gun is now known throughout the nation and is unprecedented.

Steve is just as much at home in the woods as he is on the competition field. Although he has never entered a turkey-calling contest, he is a master caller and has taken a number of trophy toms to prove it. He is also an accomplished bow hunter and rifle shooter, and over the last few years he has harvested several mature whitetail bucks and other game. He also guides other hunters and fishermen from time to time on a nonprofessional basis.

Steve is a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and several other wildlife conservation groups. He is also a devoted family man who is very active in his Church. His primary job is Vice President of a large rural electric power cooperative, and he is also affiliated professionally with several nationally known companies in the hunting and shooting industry. Steve travels all around the country in his spare time competing in shooting events, living his love for the outdoors, and sharing his knowledge and expertise with others hunters and shooters.
