Black Flash Trail Cameras – The Best 2

As the sun rises and sets – the world is changing. Technology is changing, people are changing – and believe it or not – deer are changing! Black flash trail cameras are the newest thing in the trail cam world – and I believe they are here to stay. Being there are literally dozens of trial camera manufactures out there today, it is tough for some people to sift through the BS, and find a trail camera that will work well. Allow me.

The benefits of black flash trail camera technology are:

1) Allows the deer to be less spooked by the trail cam – allowing for more natural movements, patterns and pictures (because deer cannot see the black flash)

2) It gives the hunters more confidence because the deer aren’t (or shouldn’t) be as spooked by trail cameras.

3) Allows for better placement of trail camera to catch trespassers and thieves!

The economics of trail cameras (and for the most part, life) is shown in the image below. Are there outliers? Hell yes. The black flash trail cameras I’m about to recommend are not cheap. Some people think it is downright ludacris to spend this much coin on a trail camera (perhaps your wife is in this category).

Using Trail Cams For Security Purposes – Tips and Tricks

Trail cameras have come a long way in recent years. Many people who don’t actually live on their property, depend on using trail cams for security purposes. Using trail cams for security and surveillance reasons makes a lot of sense, in that you can “shoot two birds with one stone.”  You can get pictures of wildlife and monitor your hunting property with trail cameras all at once. Some folks even use the wireless cellular trail cameras for security purposes. These trail cameras will actually notify you in almost real time when someone is on your property that shouldn’t be!

One of the best ways I’ve found to use trail cameras for security purposes is to put my Reconyx trail camera on my Stic-N-Pic trail camera stand. It is a great combination that allows for maximum concealment. Not hanging my trail cameras on trees allows me to get better angles, and hide the camera in the brush, out of the eyes of trespassers.

My Stic-N-Pic trail cam stand allows my to hide my trail camera well, and at the proper angle to catch trespassers and thieves.

Using trail cameras to catch trespassers isn’t real hard, you just need to remember a these tips:

1) Hide the camera. Being blatant with your trail camera placement is not a good idea, unless you are placing a broken trail camera in plain view for the thieves to see intentionally. Hiding the trail camera in a bush or blow down is a great way to catch quality pictures of trespassers. Even high above the line of sight, angled down can be productive. Continue Reading →

Reconyx Hyperfire HC600 Review – Reconyx Trail Cameras

Over the last couple of months I’ve been using the Reconyx Hyperfire HC600 trail camera and couldn’t be more impressed. I’ve written another Reconyx Review about the HC500, and still have to do a review on the Reconyx RM45 trail camera. But for now we will discuss and review the greatest trail camera ever made = Reconyx HC600 trail camera.

What I like about the Reconyx Hyperfire HC 600 Trail Camera:

1) It’s fast. Like Barry Sanders fast. Reconyx trigger speed is the best on the market.

2) It’s small. These cameras can fit anywhere, and store very easily. Props Reconyx. Great endurance out of a small unit (that’s what she said).

3) Battery life. Again – Reconyx battery life is amazing. You will be impressed. Continue Reading →

Stic-n-Pic Trail Camara Stand Review

21 minutes 16 seconds. That’s how long I talked to Jesse Hurley about a stupid trail camera stand (turns out, it’s not stupid at all). Earlier that morning, I had gone into a great field edge, looking to hang my reconyx trail camera. Well, it took 10 minutes. And it wasn’t in the perfect place. And, it just pissed me off that I’d spent that much time in honey hole, messing around.

Later that morning, I was looking over the different trail camera stand options, and gave Stic-n-Pic a solid look. I had heard of them before, and was impressed with the design. It looks like the perfect trail camera stand (that’s because it is). I put a call out on our Facebook page, and Jesse quickly responded. Like I alluded earlier in this blog, I talked to him for awhile. As it turns out, we are brothers. I believe we were separated at birth because he could grow a better mustache. But I digress.

The Stic-n-Pic can do everything but wipe your ass (for the most part).

This trail camera stand can be placed anywhere, at any angle, on any camera. No joke. Watch the video, it’ll show you everything you need to know. It also is the only trail camera stand in the industry, that can hold two (or more) trail cameras at once. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Below are some pictures I took of the Stic-n-Pic, if you have any questions, please feel free to join their Facebook page, or shoot Jesse an email at Sticnpic.com.

Reconyx Trail Cameras – 5 Reasons I Use Them

As some of you know, I’ve recently discovered, used reconyx trail cameras. I’ve picked them up online, and picked them up on Craigslist. They are too rich for my taste, brand new.

Below are 5 reasons I use Reconyx trail cameras:

1) By the look of the picture below, I challenge any other camera to complete with that. Now, I had the reconyx camera on time lapse mode. So it wasn’t like I was getting 1000′s of animal pictures, but the reconyx trail camera still performed like it should.

2) Simple. Again, look at the picture. 4 buttons, including the On / Off switch. So easy, even a caveman can do it!

3) It’s small (that’s what she said). It can fit anywhere, and it works beautifully on my Stic-n-Pic.

4) Quickness. Sometimes, I get mad it’s so fast. I have 5 pictures of the animal, and in two of them, it’s only the animals head! Yes, it’s that fast.

5) Branding. I’m a marketing and sales guy. So, that said, I enjoy using brands that do a good job marketing themselves to customers. Might sound dumb, but it’s true.

6) Support. Reconyx customer support is flawless. Not that you’ll ever need them. But if you do, they will be there – and alleviate the problem quickly! Plus, they sent me a sticker and hat last time. :)
